The manual

The manual is created for the students, not the student for the manual.

Sometimes, policy and guidelines clash with the situation of the students and what then should an institution do? Shall it stick to the manual and enforce the rules or shall it be flexible enough to be amended?

Life is not entirely black and white. There is what we call, “case to case” basis and “grey areas” in which the makers of the rules did not forsee when they made a ruling.

But as Ravi Zacharias once said, “Before you tear down the fence, ask why it was there in the first place”.
