A letter to my brother…

Posted: May 5, 2012 in Uncategorized

just thought of writing to you tonight.

don’t know if it would make any sense.

don’t allow anyone to tell you what you can do or what you can’t do. one more year after college, you’re done. you still have a chance to finish and say, “i’m done with college.”

if money is the problem why you wouldn’t want to go for one sem, magagawan natin ng paraan yan…pero if your mind is set already, no matter what we do, wala na.

but again, you are a twenty year old guy who holds your future in your freaking hands. its your choice.

bottom line, ten years from now, twenty years from now, you can’t blame anyone if you aren’t successful in life or if you are miserable in life.

you can’t say,” my parents kasi eh”…they separated. a lot of people succeed in life without parents. Octavian, the Ceasar who is responsible for Mary and Joseph to be in Bethlehem in time of the birth of Christ, was an orphan. So was Bill Clinton. Steve Jobs. John Lennon.

you can’t say…”I didn’t have the opportunity”, because opportunity is in the hands of those who knows how to responsibly make use of their time.

you can’t say…”no one is helping me”, because your sister is here, your kuya is here, and a lot more are willing to help you out.

So you see, I won’t stop you from stopping college for a while. Maybe it would make you a better man. Maybe it would give you a sense of self-worth. Whatever reason it is, stick to what you want to be and get it done.

so college? it’s your choice.

love you bro.
