Missing the Point

Posted: April 27, 2013 in Uncategorized

I’ve been in the multimedia ministry for almost four years in the current church I am in. Before that, I had a wide range of experience in church when it comes to visuals, powerpoints and videos. Today, I caught myself off guard in an interview with one of the recently baptized member in the church. She could still recall the sermon given on FRAN day. FRAN stands for Friends, Relatives, Associates, and Neighbors. We, as a church, celebrate FRAN day once a year to make the FRANs go to church as we make it an event for evangelism. I got so pre-occupied with the ministry that I forgot the message and somehow, the interviewee remembered it.

The message is important. We as a church must go out and seek the lost. Working in church creates an avenue to forget what we are supposed to do.

Admittedly, I missed the point.
