That's me! A Privilege to serve God through preaching. :)

I thank God for the privilege of calling me to preach. More importantly, I thank God for giving me the privilege of serving Him. The question I asked is this…Why do we serve?

First. We serve because our Master served.

26 Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, 27 and whoever wants to be first must be your slave— 28 just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” – Matthew 20:26-28

Second, God has given us gifts so we can use them.

6 We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; 7 if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; 8 if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully. – Romans 12:6

Lastly, we are given gifts to serve others.

10 Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. – 1 Peter 4:10

A disciple of Christ is called to serve. If we don’t use our gifts for God, it simply means we are using our gifts for ourselves or for something else. So discover your gifts, and serve.

I’m glad that I’m serving. What makes it even more fun is having the youth serving along side with me. Happy Youth Sunday, Team TLCC!
