Heart’s Desire

You have granted him his heart’s desire and have not withheld the request of his lips. (Psalm 21:4)

It’s hard to read this psalm and say it’s applicable to me specially after a heartbreak, after a loss. But here’s the thing…

Is my heart’s desire aligned to what God wants?

Is my heart inclined to what honors God?

Are my desires bended towards God’s will?

As much as I struggle with the pain and deal with it, I realized that my heart’s desire is not yet fully inclined to God. There is that constant struggle to bend my “wants” to His. One day, when everything is clearer, and when the dust settles, when my heart is inclined fully to seek God rather than my own, I would see that He (God) would grant my heart’s desires and my prayers answered because it would be aligned to His design and not mine.
