God, The Teacher.

Make me to know your ways, O Lord;
teach me your paths.
Lead me in your truth and teach me,
for you are the God of my salvation;
for you I wait all the day long.
Psalm 25:4-5

As a student, I would wait for my teacher to arrive. Usually, when the teacher does not come within the first 15 minutes, it is unofficially declared that the teacher is absent. The character of a teacher is usually seen in the first fifteen minutes of the class. The Older teachers who doesn’t have passion for teaching would come in before the 15th minute, and those who have passion for teaching, comes in class an hour before teaching. I studied my teachers more than my lessons. Because at the end of the day, it is not really the lesson that gets into my head, but the character of the teacher.
In this psalm, I am reminded of God who is my teacher. He is the one who would teach us his ways, his paths. He is truthful, and he saves. Hence, all we need to do is really wait.
I’m struggling with my love life. Wait.
I’m struggling with my finances. Wait.
I’m struggling with my preaching. Wait.
I’m struggling with my thoughts. Wait.
The teacher is letting me wait. Hence, I should wait. 🙂
