There’s no better feeling than one of being forgiven. When we keep our grudges, our hurts, our issues bottled up inside us, we become timebombs…waiting for a trigger before we explode. We can be working in church, or serving in the ministry but having sin in our lives would eventually eat us up. There is no sin that can be managed. There is no such thing as “small” sin or “large” sin, for sin is missing the mark. Simply not making the standard. Anything that fall short of God’s standard doesn’t count. The psalmist said…

Blessed is the one
whose transgressions are forgiven,
whose sins are covered.
Blessed is the one
whose sin the Lord does not count against them
and in whose spirit is no deceit.
Psalm 32:1-2

First, blessed is he whose sins are covered. That means blessed is the man who came clean and was pardoned. We do not need to carry around extra baggage that would hinder our journey, limit our mobility.

Second, we are blessed because past, present and future sins are already covered for one who has Christ as his Lord and Savior.

Third, we are blessed because our Father is one who forgives when we confess our sins.

So yes, blessed is the one whose transgressions are forgiven. We can sleep at night soundly.
