John 10:4-5 NIV
“When he has brought out all his own, he goes on ahead of them,
and his sheep follow him because they know his voice.
But they will never follow a stranger;
in fact, they will run away from him because they do not recognize a stranger’s voice.”

In this passage, Jesus talks about the good shepherd and his sheep. Jesus is our Shepherd. He leads us into green pastures and protects us from predators. And we can put our faith in Him wholly because we know that God’s will is for our best.

And yet, there are times when we are confused whether the one speaking is the Good Shepherd or a stranger who wants us to become lost. Having our daily devotion enables us to have a closer relationship with Jesus and in doing so we are building a strong foundation of who God is in our lives. This gives us the wisdom to run away from strangers whose voices are full of deception.

Do you know the Shepherd’s voice?
