First priority

Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. (Hebrews 4:16)

As i was pondering on this verse i realized that every one of us needs help. We are not God. We have needs. We have weaknesses. We have confusion. We have limitations of all kinds. We need help. But every one of us has something else: we have sins. And therefore at the bottom of our hearts we know that we do not deserve the help we need. And so we feel trapped. This is the reason why we tend to solve our problems in our own hands rather than going to God directly for help. We tend to put God like a spare tire. He is the last resort after we had done our best to solve our problem. All our plans or solutions are just futile without God’s guidance. Without God we are nothing. I know that we are sinners and we don’t deserve God’s help because He is holy but that is the meanig of grace. It is something that we don’t deserve but God still gave it to us because He loves us so much. So i encourage you that everytime we are having tough times, go to God directly. Make God as your first priority to ask for help not as our last resort.
