“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.” Romans 3:23-24 (NIV)

Romans 3:23 is one of the “famous” verses that gets quoted a lot. However, when I read verse 24, I think that this verse shows what is more important. This should be the greater focus of our Christianity — the fact that by God’s grace we are redeemed and justified. Yes, we have sinned and would have faced death, eternity in hell, and worse — separation from God. But we don’t have to go through the punishment for our sins because Jesus already took our place on the cross. Praise God that He has provided a way for us to restore our relationship with Him through Christ Jesus.
