“Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.” Romans 12:21

This chapter speaks of a lot of valuable lessons that a Christian should take to heart. It starts off with Paul urging fellow believers to be living sacrifices and following it up with a gentle reminder on being a humble servant in the body of Christ. He, then, ends with a note on love in action. I am personally rebuked by this verse since I oftentimes react in anger especially when I feel nga na-alkansihan ko or other people – but mostly for my own sake ra. May gani the Holy Spirit is there to rebuke me. Being rebuked is not a pleasant feeling, at all. But then again, mas hadlok if I don’t feel any remorse or guilt when doing something bad. I’d rather be led by the Holy Spirit and give the same grace and compassion to everyone the way Jesus does.
